First things first, you should NEVER have to break up with your stylist. If he or she has done their job and built rapport with you as a client, then you should be able to share your hair feelings. But, if there comes a time when you have to break up, here is how to do it!
I'm sure you've wished there was a way for you to eventually see your old stylist out and about and giving her a big hug with excitement over seeing her spontaneously! Unfortunately, this is never the case. I ask myself, is it how our clients break up with us? Is it how we react? Or is it me? The answer is, BE HONEST! There are two types of business in this world, the first one is my business and the second one is not my business. Every great stylist will tell you they are not as good as their mentors. Therefore, they know they are human and make mistakes but the question is, how can we fix our mistakes if our clients don't make us aware of them? Aways allow your stylist "one more shot", as they say, to make it right. Be bold with tact and let them know exactly what you envision for your hair, don't be afraid to send your stylist photos for inspiration and be transparent with how you feel and what you want.
